More than 250 graphite drawings on white or transparent paper and diverse formats: switching from one installation consisting of 100 small black and white drawings from the Souvlaki Circus series (made with Michelangelo Setola and collected in a book by the American publisher Buenaventura press, 2008), to large format drawings in colored pencils from the unusual triangular shape, up to complex tables of his comics including those last effort "Wild dogs " (which gives the exhibition its title ) in a volume published for the occasion by Heat wave in collaboration with D406 .
These are large tables in graphite on transparent paper in which the protagonists are children (as often happens in stories drawn from Finnish) immersed in suspended atmosphere, visionary and disturbing the typical Nordic breath . "It 's post-apocalyptic scenario that described by Vähämäki , deserted island and suspended in time , a place far from civilization destroyed. Everything was deleted and the memories of the survivors are slowly disappearing. The only remaining building is a dive run by children in the middle of a barren landscape , between stones and parched earth , and was buried with serenity where every creature that dies. in " wild dogs " children are the conscience of the island and the atmosphere of the examination , but alive theater of the absurd , reminiscent of the " Miracle in Milan " by De Sica, where the taste that lingers in your mouth is sweet in spite of everything . "
